I am not the only one to find a problem with Wikipedia. Of course, those people out there who consider it impossible for me to be anything but some mad egomaniac, will say this is because I got mad when someone edited my entry. Well yes it was annoying, but not for the reason these people think. One thing about me is that I like things to be fair. Fair does not mean tilted to my advantage (those who refuse to accept this is possible are probably just considering that they themselves find it impossible to be objective, but believe it or not some people can actually retain at least some objectivity about themselves)[1].
Anyway my problem with wikipedia is that fundementally it is an obdurocracy.
Concensus is not a good way of working unless it is a concensus among all. Wikipedia is a concensus among those who are persistent enough. Surely this is not a concensus at all.
And that is my beef. That and the fact that the anti-elitism police will not allow the entry to mention that I am a musician[2].
Here is my improvised 8 minute song on the subject. It is meant as light herated comedy and not an example of great songwriting. But there are some nice bits I think[3]
